About Home Economics

Real estate participants are spoiled for data, but starved for insight.

Home Economics exists to bridge that gap—offering best-in-class research and analytics to help housing professionals make smarter decisions. Our work combines the rigor of academic research with the practicality of commercially relevant insights, delivered through clean, visual storytelling.

We focus on what matters most to developers, investors, and other industry stakeholders: understanding where the housing market is headed—and why. From migration shifts and building permits to macroeconomic inflection points, our reports are built on data, but always with a point of view.

Who We Are

Home Economics was founded by Aziz Sunderji, a former director of research at Barclays Investment Bank. Over a 15-year career in London and New York, he served as a macro strategist and bond market analyst, covering both developed and emerging markets. He later worked as a journalist at the Wall Street Journal, where he focused on data-rich, explanatory reporting.

Throughout his career, Aziz has built a reputation for distilling complex trends into clear, actionable insights for institutional audiences. Home Economics reflects that same approach: combining deep analysis with practical relevance.

What We Deliver

  • Research that clarifies complexity
We specialize in local, granular housing data—then layer on macro context to illuminate what’s changing, and what that means for capital and strategy.

  • Timely, actionable insights
Our work helps professionals navigate today’s volatility with clarity—whether you’re building, investing, or planning around the housing market.

  • Design that makes complexity legible
Every chart, map, and table is crafted for clarity. We believe how you show data is just as important as what it says.
